A superior issue, indeed! We move further into Spider-Verse, and the more spiders the better from where I'm sitting. We learn the identity of the Spider from the future. We get a feel for how Peter and Otto are going to interact (Otto doesn't know his tenure as Spider-Man is done). We also get the best art on Amazing Spider-Man since JRJR left during JMS's run. Oliver Coipel's art is inspired: wiry, lithe, creepy figure work . Each spider is clearly delineated, and he's aided in this with line weight choices made by inker Wade Van Grawbadger (check out the webs on Otto's outfit and mask-just great). As an art team, they're strengthened again with excellent color work by Justin Ponsor. A simple scheme, warmer when there are no inheritors, cooler when they're around. Dan Slott plays to his humorous strengths having so many Peters to write for. While it may not have the intricacies of 'Multiversity', it doesn't need to when its this good across the board.
