What a whopper of a story. The fog lifts, and we begin to see the answers, the reality behind the characters. Who is this new Hush guy, what brings together an old Batman with his young protégé, and is this future world as hopeless as DC makes it out to be. I gave Beechen kudos for advancing an animated character that, frankly, had to slowly grow on me, and makes me think it was simply before its time. The art, by Ryan Benjamin, is scratchy, off-kilter, but that fits, too. The next issue is the ender, and I give the whole series a thumbs-up, with one issue unseen. I just wish it lasted longer.
