Suicide Squad #2 (2021) has been added to your cart.
If the large majority of DC comics continue to be as good as they have been since Future State ended, this could turn out to be the best the line, in virtually it's entirety, has been in decades. Almost all of them are solid in both the writing and the art. Almost all of them don't feel like you're clearly reading one sixth of a story. I was excited to see almost all of them come out of their shipping box, and that hasn't happened since Duran Duran was big. Of course, I still had to unpack Superman and Action. So feel free to take these positive comments and apply them to Suicide Squad, a title I generally dislike. I even liked Green Lantern #1, and the cover was really, really not appealing. Basically, this review applies to the bulk of the line, at least for now. It's as if AT&T showed up, asked everybody in editorial "When was the last time people were really excited about your barely profitable funny books?" Editorial may have replied, "The late 80's and early nineties, around the time Superman died." AT&T might then have said, "Make them like they were then, you chuckleheads." The last month of DC books read like that conversation may have actually happened. Highly recommended.
