Thor #24 (2020) has been added to your cart.
What a mixed bag of 740 issues. Yeah that's right 10 short until Marvel tells us which random mini-series count and which ones don't.
The good!
Cates & Klein give us a slightly different Odin's funeral as a framing sequence. Mostly meh but that ending? Ya hooked me again.
JMS & Coipel remind us why their 2008 run was classic. Great dialogue and beautiful artwork.
Al Ewing & Lee Garbett's Loki story also is a reminder just how good Loki Agent of Asgard was. Not sure about what this leads to though...
The meh.
Walter Simonson returns to present more info on Beta Ray Bill's origin. Nothing retconned that I remember but nothing needed either. Again seems like random story that can lead to another Beta Ray Bill mini just to make money.
The Iffy at best.
Dan Jurgens & Klaus Janson do their best to remind me that I loved them in the 80s & 90s. Which is not great when it is 2022 and they are doing a "missing issue" Thor volume 2 #25.1. Pointless story that answers the age old debate as to why Thor gets these powerful armors and never uses them again.
Jason Aaron & Das Pastoras. My Malort buddy Jason gives us some more closure to Donny's Hammer story and opens up the story for Odin and Mjolnir's continued hatred in the next Avengers prequel story. Das Pastoras... Oh Das.. I would love to see his paints over someone else's pencils. Terrific at paint by numbers but the rest is rough as usual aka great paint job terrible sculpt! I wish Esad Ribic was used instead. Oh well.
The lesson here is your heroes age just as much as you do. And that's OK nothing but stories last forever!
